Port Credit OPP Units

Looks like the OPP HSD have finally moved into the new Mississauga Detachment at Argentia Road & 401. The dispatcher is now referring the old "Port Credit" units as just "Mississauga Units".

Makes sense given the seemingly endless MVC calls out here on the 401 between Guelph Line and Winston Churchill. Almost makes re-opening the old Milton detachment viable. Not a day goes by that the CRC parking lot (old detachment land/building) is full of crashed vehicles "on the hook". OPP response times from the Port Credit detachment can be brutal when the highway is at a standstill.

I argree, the reponse time from all the way down there can be quite long depending on the call. I am happy they picked a more central location,

Did Port Credit close or still open as well? They both on the same OPS44 just being called Mississauga now?

I'm pretty sure it's closed and yes, Mississauga units are the new Port Credit units.
