Does anybody know where Central Police Dispatch (Nederland, Port Neches, Groves ) and their fire depts moved. I believe they have new frequencies on the same radio tower, but I have not been able to find them. In the RR data base they were listed as: Texas, Jefferson County--Trunked Systems, Port Neches Share-Net
One thing you might check into (this is going to be several steps).
There was a new license issued in July, for Port Neches, WQMF313 under an STA (temporary authorization).
Click on this
link to the FCC data.
Now, looking at that license on the FCC site, select the Admin tab.
On the Admin tab, in the section labeled "Applications" (right under the call sign, on the Admin tab page), you'll see an amendment,
0004324676
Click on that.
That will pull up another window. On that second license screen, click the Admin tab. Now, look at the amendments listed, specifically, the STA Justification.
What they are apparently saying is that there are continuing problems with the existing Sharenet system. They are requesting new frequencies to be used for an upgrade to the
Beaumont/Jefferson County/Hardin County system, and move the public safety portion of Sharenet over to it.
What you might try is running the Beaumont system in "open" mode (for the older GRE made scanners, or with a wildcard for the Pro-106/-197, pr PSR-500/-600) or in "ID Search" mode for the Uniden made scanners, and see if any new talkgroups for Port Neches, or the others, have started to appear.
