At their meeting next Thursday, Port Neches city council members expect to address an agreement with Port Arthur, Nederland and Groves that would allow Port Neches to be the sole signatory on a radio frequency reconfiguration deal.
That agreement and another item regarding the deal were postponed at the last city council meeting because the city had not received all the necessary documentation.
The radio reconfiguration would be funded by Sprint/Nextel, which was required by the FCC to pay for the process after the company bought radio frequencies that were close enough to those used by public safety systems to potentially interfere.
The council also will discuss the city's purchase of gasoline and diesel fuel, as well as authorizing the library to apply for a grant.
The meeting is at 4 p.m. Thursday at Port Neches City Hall, 634 Avenue C.
