Checked a Bluetti EB55 at work and it is definitely spraying RFI in VHF up to around 300 MHz when the AC output is turned on. Didn't notice anything with just the DC outputs turned on. With the charger plugged in the noise extends down into HF.

This doesn't bode well for Bluetti.

I haven’t noticed anything from two different Ecoflow stations I own either.

Anker Solix stations are what a few ham buddies use and no complaints from them on that brand. In fact, I haven’t noticed either as they were using them when we have been camping and playing radio several times, whether I was using my own setup, or theirs.

I guess it's EcoFlow getting me back. I got a small Bluetti for a specific purpose and holy crap this thing is a RFI generator. It's all over the VHF hi band. May have to return it.

Which Bluetti model did you have ?? I have the Elite 100V2 and no noise from it on HF, or VHf even with the inverter turned on .

I currently have four 12.8v 100Ah power queen batteries in series and parallel for 24V, a 40 amp MPT solar controller and 800 watts of solar power. Today will be the inverter!

I have numerous Power Queen batteries for extended runtime on the EcoFlows, so far I'm happy with them.

I use a small Harbor Freight 'Predator' power station for emergency power for my Icom IC-705. The 705 draws only 2W on receive/scan with the display turned off. I also have the Predator 100W folding solar panel for recharging. I managed to snag the power station for under $200 when it was on sale. What finally convinced me to pick one up is the 5-year guarantee - just return to any store and they give you a new one.

The only RFI issue I have noticed is when it is charging from the solar panel. Other than that it's pretty quiet.

I use the 12VDC output (measures 13.3V) to power the 705.

Our old fridge crapped out and was an electricity hog anyway so we got a new one with a variable speed compressor (or whatever your manufacturer calls them). The same EcoFlow that would run our old fridge for about 5 hours lately (it was 7 hours last summer, but it's slowly been drawing more and more current) will power the new fridge for about 12 hours. Not bad at all.

The same EcoFlow that would run our old fridge for about 5 hours lately (it was 7 hours last summer, but it's slowly been drawing more and more current) will power the new fridge for about 12 hours. Not bad at all.

I seem to remember a youtuber discussing this issue with ecoflow, when I was shopping for one.

It was a video describing a problem with Some compressors shutting ecoflows down on startup, but not all of them. I think certain Jackery stations did this too.

Ok, I never posted that mine had that issue. Any PPS (or generator or source of power) can/will shut down if it can't handle the inrush current of the compressor starting. I don't have that problem.

Real world test (open/close as usual, normal ice maker and water dispenser usage) got us about 11 1/2 hours. Not bad for a 25 cubic foot side-by-side and a 1024Wh PPS set to shut off at 10%. So with the extra battery plugged into the XT-60i port I should easily get 24 hours before i need to charge anything.

Of course when we have our hurricane next August I'll probably get a little less runtime as it will probably be 90+ in the house after a few hours of no power.

Edit because I was told their would be no math...I got 14 1/2 hours out of it. These multi-speed compressors are amazing.

Another test of my PPS setup. Had a 2 hour power outage this morning, and no my whole house doesn't stay powered up, but enough does to make it a lot less of an inconvenience.

Kevin, mine is a battery bank with 6 12.8 Lipo's and two 400 watt panels. Nice weather other than a couple thunderstorms. I am on vacation this week, spending it fixing up the house. So I decided as a test for my back up I would run the fridge, deep freeze and this computer setup, plus a couple of lights to see how long it would last. Running a Giandel 24 volt 4000/7000 watt inverter in the mornings I am down to 62% on my batteries. Before noon they are back to 100%. Might just figure a way to keep the 12 gauge extension cords routed to the fridge and freezer forever just to tick off the power company!
