Recently I was at my local "reject shop" when I came across this case for $4, the size was good to make a radio carry case out of it. On getting to the check out it scanned as $2, making it even more of a bargain.

I have added some foam to one side to protect my radio scanner, a divider to keep my bits and pieces in order and bubble wrap to the top and bottom to provide some added protection.

This case provides a good level of protection and fits in my back pack or work bag well. I can easily fit:
Uniden BCD325P2-AU Radio Scanner (or another scanner of this size)
Aerial
Ear Phones
Spare Batteries
AC Charger
USB Cable

It also has enough room for some spare aerials.

That's quite nice. I really could do with something like that for taking one of my handheld receivers out and about during the day. Right now I just put them back in the original box and carry that in my backpack. I have the perfect size Pelican case but I just need to buy new pick and pluck foam for it. The original is all gone from being reconfigured a lot for when I used it for video production.
