Porter County---OIC alert for LE when EMS is dispatched

I frequently hear Porter County issue an OIC alert in tandem with some EMS/Fire calls. Anyone know what OIC means? Officer in charge?

I would say that is likely.

In Johnson County, the dispatcher usually puts out an informational broadcast to LE when fire/EMS is dispatched to make them aware of the run even if it is not a LE matter.

Same thing in Hamilton County, especially Fishers PD/Fire.
