Looks like most everything is now on SAFE-T, correct ?
Just wondering if anything is being simulcast on VHF ?
Also, is county highway or other government services still on VHF ?

Setting up an old scanner for a friend on a very limited budget - wanting to see what they can monitor without a new radio purchase.

Thanks in advance.

If its like everything else that uses SAFE-T, Fire Dispatches will still tone out on VHF, and we have not received any info that the Municipal Roads, and DPW's have gone to SAFE-T, County Roads are on SAFE-T. Also, no word yet on Ogden Dunes, or Hebron Public Safety on SAFE-T yet. Hopefully this thread will get more replies so we can know what is completely deprecated, and what is just in standbye mode for backup.

Hi Milf
Ogden Dunes along with Burns Harbor are dispatched through Portage PD dispatch. I am not sure about Hebron.

Is PPD keeping the VHF online for backup or is it dead?

TY. So PCSO is consolidated most of the smaller municipal PD's under their dispatch, with PPD doing its own. Pretty much standard practice now.
