Ocean county EOC opening. trees down across roadways in senior develop.

Happened around 4 PM or so. Trees down and roads blocked everywhere there. Command Post and staging area set up at Whiting firehouse. County TRS Fire Zone 4 and Fire Tac 1 are active as of 4:30 PM.

one confirmed fatal in front of Rideway FD on Rt. 571 after a tree fell on a car. road dept. is assisting with the trees and brush so their channels are worth listening to also. EMS coordinators have been just requested per OEM.

Manchester police in Ocean County have confirmed that a tree fell onto a car on Route 571, just below Route 70, killing a person inside the car. Police say the person was not a resident of Manchester. A tree also fell on a house in nearby Whiting and residents are currently being located.
