I noticed that my DSDplus data now lists the Alamogordo Site as 3.28. Prior to today (at least whenever I noticed it), it was 1.28.

Site 1.29, Benson Ridge, is red indicating old data. However, 3.29 appeared as a neighbor site to 3.28 and 3.29nhas the same CC as 1.29. in the otherwise normal radio traffic and patches.

I haven't noted any other differences in radio traffic or weird talk groups.

I someone swapping the 1s into 3s? Thoughts?

I'm assuming the state added another zone controller to the DTRS and set most, or is still in the process of setting all sites in the southern part of the state to RFSS 3.

What is, "another zone controller" and why would the state add one? Would RFSS now serve to ID this area?

We may have to do some driving around to get some details.

Is there anyone in Las Cruces that sees a new RFSS on their system?

Motorola says an "The primary function of the ASTRO core (zone controller) is to enable wide area communication across multiple sites. The core provides distributed call control and routing of voice and data between multiple radio sites." I read somewhere that there is a site limit per core but the additional core brings redundancy to the mission critical system.
