I've got a question for those of you in the Tulsa Metro area. A couple months ago I was in a wreck on Memorial Drive. Before Tulsa PD arrived a Hunter Green Mustang well lit with dash, grille, and rear window amber lights showed up to begin diverting traffic. The two occupants were both in black pants and lime green jackets and had some sort of radio on the shoulders of thier jackets. i couldnt tell if it was a scanner or a handheld. They begin going around and checking on all occupants and assuring everyone help was on the way.

my question is has anyone else heard of this "service" if so, do they have a freq. they opperate on or do they scan TPD? or is it possible they're just whackers? TPD didnt run them off upon there arrival and actually let them stick around till the road was clear.

I saw similar on a car fire when I was on the fire department a while back. Honestly I have no idea who the people are or what they think they are doing when they turn all those lights on. It wasn't the mustang but a small pickup at about 3 or 4 in the morning and it had amber lights in the rear deck and dash.

I told a friend of mine about this thread and surprise, surprise....guess what he had to say:

He was a meeting of the Broken Arrow Amateur Radio Club (BAARC...think of it as in, more BAARC than BITE) a few months ago and he came across some suspects fitting Medic32's description PERFECTLY. One persons name was Linsey and her callsign is KE5MOB. She was seen driving an old white pickup. She was spotted in the lime green vest that Medic mentions complete with KE5MOB screen printed on the back.

Ironically, her significant other is a person named Will and his callsign is KC5SFB. Guess what he drives? Yep..a green Mustang. Oh, and guess what he was seen doing after the club meeting...YEP, that's right, showing off a bunch of blinky lights in his Mustang!

In the law enforcement business, I think that's what they call a clue. Enjoy!

The amber light might be okay, provided they have a "proper" response or job on scene.
Amber lights could help protect on some of the roads we respond on, especially at night. But I'm there as firefighter/responder. One yellow light along with the blue to keep people from running into you is fine. Too many go overboard though. and then there is the school of thought that all those light attract drunks to run into you. Best thing, pull ahead of the scene and let the fire truck block the scene.

Ohhhh lord that's all this town needs now is some wackers getting in the way. Yes, the two individuals described are the ones doing the wacking. I know they are nice peope with good intent but they have no reason to be showing up to the scene on MVCs, car fires, or any other every day incident. I hope they are stopped and I hope they are reminded that they are breaking about 2 or 3 laws that I can think of at this point.
I know some of you will jump this thread and say, "well wouldn't you help direct traffic if you just witnesses an MVC. My answer would probably be yes. But, I am not going to wack out and wear a reflecter vest, with an HT and Amber lights to act like I have some sort of control in the situation. I would do it without all that crap as a citizen until the proper authorities got there.

It never seems to amaze me what idiots put on the web......
lets see what I could come up with on this guy in 5 minutes. I used NO classified or police info. Of course I am a stalker by trade. I could of come up with a lot more if I wanted to waste the effort. Name and address:WILLIAM A GWIN 71-- South 92nd East Avenue Tulsa, OK, wifes name Linsey elaine Forbes. They were married in Broken Arrow on 04/15/2005. His dob is 07/27/19--. He lived in Broken Arrow when he was in school on Broadway st. In 06/07 he got a ticket from ohp for speeding.(guess the trooper was not impressed) He is a truck driver by trade though maybe looking for a new job. Linsey got a protective order against her dad mitch. On his site he gives us all of his family members names, where he works, and so forth. He is a MORON and cares nothing about his wife or family. If he did he would knock this stuff off. I limited myself to 5 minutes. Can you imagine what I could of come up with if I had longer??? He says a friend told him to keep the log of light usage??? Huh? why would anybody do that. He gives whackers a bad name.

I do like the bikini photo. I could not find it on the site.....maybe he is listening. Nope it is still on there..... Who would of thought that was under that reflective coat.
