Possible Gas Pipeline Break 91St and Memorial, Tulsa

Crews are responding to loud rushing noise in the area this morning and Fire has determined a pipeline burst of some sort but have not completely determined what it is. TPD getting ready to shut the area down in all directions if in fact it is Natural Gas.

TPD now shutting down traffic in all directions, on Tac 2 TPD 7-F.

Now evacuating houses in the area.

Sad way to wake up! Indianapolis just got rocked by a blast which leveled some homes this past weekend, and was felt for miles. Unknown for sure if it was gas yet.

I hope the leak is stopped before anything else happens.

Opened another TPD tactical ID for units blocking traffic only. Leaking gas pipe has just been turned off, TPD checking to see if people can return home yet.

Leak is now plugged and the area should be released in about 20-30 min.
