Is there a way to enter a specific frequency to monitor on the SDS200 via the keypad (NOT program through Sentinel)? If I see a signal on my SDR, I would like to see if the scanner can listen to it by entering in the frequency on the scanner (obviously blocked regions won't be accepted). I read that on the SDS100 it's under an advanced menu; although, it will not save those when a new freq. is entered, but it is possible to listen.

Thanks Gootch (we called it grundle where I was raised, it's taint here where I live now).

I went down this path before and got where I didn't want to be: entering details and saving info.

The first option that comes up. "Quick Frequency Save?", one has to enter "yes", then 14 menu options come up, none of which is "Do it" or "Go" or "Have a listen". I am OK with defaults being used for delay times etc. based on band. Using the back-menu from there (source/menu knob), then shows recent manual frequencies entered, but "E/yes" on them brings back to the same long menu.

If you bypass the first question with "No", then is asks to save to favorites, which is not what I want until I listen to it.

I hope that's clear, in a more general way, can the scanner just tune to a freq like a radio?

Holy Cow - I think I have it, very confusing, thanks again. The second "Channel" button isn't labeled, I see what you mean, push the one that was called channel again, not "enter". Page 27... ugh.
