It could be an image, but it could also be a real channel. The Watervliet Arsenal is P25 in the 380 MHz range.

This has proven to be a spurious emission from the Watervliet Arsenal's transmitter on 380.750 MHz.
Not an image. There is no 5.1 MHz IF in the scanner.
The NAC is exactly the same as the fundamental.
Given that the Arsenal is using 4 pairs, it seems odd that I would get an image on only 1 frequency, unless there is a defect in their transmitter on that 1 channel.
The "image" appears on every single transmission, with no other noises around it, so it's not a beat product, either.
OK, I heard a bit of a mystery yesterday. I scan all of the ICE freqs that I have ever identified around S FL and up till now everything was analog. My scanner starts popping on 163.7000 NAC 293 with mobile traffic (in the clear) that eventually lands in my home town. Years ago, and maybe still, this was an INS/BP repeater freq used in Ft. Lauderdale, and it was used for anti-smuggling operations. So, the question is has BP in S FL started converting to P25?

Has anyone ever seen the NAC code show up as NFFF, i have logged several the last few weeks that show that as a NAC.
If "N" is the prefix for NAC similar to those of us who use "$" then yes
it could be. FFF would be the last possible NAC Available 0-9, A-F
What Frequencies/Systems are you seeing this on.
A NAC of $FFF is possible. I can program it in to my equipment.Have you actually heard voice audio on these? If not, I'd suggest it's possibly an errored reading.
