169.7250 $293 is likely Cumberland Island NSS

Mystery NAC293's

Picked up a couple of strong encrypted freqs in the Lakeland and Tampa Florida area that I can't ID yet.

172.2125 ENC N293
169.2000 ENC N293

Plus this clear repeater around St. Cloud or the Spcce Center.

169.5875 CLR N293

Then there was this one on a band opening. Unknown direction from home.

169.7250 ENC N293

Any clues?

162.225 NAC 085 not sure where this is located at I can pick them up around the Byron, Georgia area solid two bars sometimes three. Sounds like a fire department training with dispatch.

Input to their 25 watt repeater is on 163.0875. Callsign (if anyone uses it or it's set to auto-tx) is KOB899.
Thanks. I wonder if they swapped input/output frequencies at some point to be NTIA band plan compliant.
DFW National Cemetery used to have an analog repeater on 163.0875 but I never found the input.

Monitored these at the National Emergency Training Center in Emmitsburg, MD recently. I'm betting one of these is campus security but I only picked up one unencrypted conversation so who knows:

407.525 NAC 293 "Meet with the vendor on the access road"
407.6625 NAC 293 ENC
409.075 ENC

Heard in the Winston-Salem, NC area today:

*166.250 / FM / PL 118.8 Hz -- Might be something besides federal as it seems that is a shared frequency
*170.750 / P25 / Full-time encryption / NAC 293 -- Maybe local federal courthouse?
*173.1125 / P25 / Unknown NAC -- In my recordings there were several key ups but no audio meaning either they were simply just keyups, or it was encrypted and the scanner muted the frequency.

170.750 is definitely WS Federal courthouse security. I ended up locking this frequency out because I was picking it up so much.

171.775 NAC 293 "Using SDR# and DSD Plus Fast Lane" - The users were using three digit numbers and talking about inspecting all the vehicles.
Byron, GA

I checked the NAC code on this website NAC 293 and it shows the possibilities of who it could be without knowing who the user is.

Was the VHF Band open that day ??

171.7750 $293 has been reported for a few years now [atleast since 2010] for an Unknown NPS site.
heard in the past in NC during a band openning.

Also if VHF as North/South down to the Everglades, it could be Everglades NP Fire Repeater
