I listened in today. It is all just codenames and numbers. Anyone know what to make of it? I have a recording of it if anyone is interested.

Even though it was short, still cool to listen to! I've got them in my 996, haven't a clue to what they are talking about, but still cool to listen to!

I've been recording and trimming my scanning lately since I did some creative stuff setting up. I'll be uploading an organized archive to my site sooner or later.

That frequency is part of a trunked system. Other traffic (like responses) may have been popping up on the other frequencies of the system.

Yeah, I know about the system. I actually came across that while scanning (which is why I didn't get the whole picture so to speak)

Stavro, you'll have better luck asking in the Washington forum.

I have two more clips. Nothing interesting AT ALL, but this was more of an opportunity for me this time to try cleaning up recordings from the scanner.

What vehicle?:

Cleaned up:

10-4 How do you copy?:

If I post anything again it will actually be interesting.

Just remember that the postal police and postal inspectors are two different organizations. The police are uniformed federal police officers that provide security for postal property and facilities. Postal inspectors investigate postal offenses and civil matters relating to the Postal Service and are generally non-uniformed.
