Postal Truck Fatal

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: DATE: 05-24-2008 TIME: 8:00 P.M.
On May 24, 2008 at approximately 12:00 P.M., Colorado State Troopers responded to a fatal crash on South Warhawk Road south of Shadow Mountain Road in Jefferson County. A white 1982 Am Gen Jeep was northbound on S.
Warhawk Road. The vehicle traveled off of the right side of the roadway and into a small ditch colliding into the embankment. The vehicle then rolled 1/4 time onto its right side, and the driver was ejected from the right side door.
The unrestrained female driver sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Jefferson County Coroner.
Alcohol or drugs are not suspected as contributing factors.
The vehicle was a contract carrier for the US Postal Service. The mail was removed by the USPS Postal Inspector.
Next of kin have not been notified
