If you surround the pasted error message with [ code] and [ /code] (without the spaces, of course), it might make it a little easier to read - since the leading spaces in front the the error message's '^' symbol won't be stripped, and it will then point to the "bad" part of the XML.

For example, from a recently-posted error:
Code:
XML error detected: not well-formed (invalid token)

near:

<tg dec="531" subfleet="" desc="Brooklyn PD Comwide 1 – Link to the Southwest Regional TRS" disp="BPD 3" group="Brooklyn" mode="" tgid="24050" />
                                                      ^

while requesting URL:
http://www.radioreference.com/apps/xml1.1/?sid=564

Also try and make it easier for an Admin to fix the problem by easily identifying the problem system or page. Please use the actual name of the page or system, not what you call it or what it might be known as. This helps the Admin get to the page quickly without having to research what system (or even more difficult frequency ID) the ID is that is referenced in the XML.

Also, please note that if you were using an older version of Win96/97 for importing trunking systems and have upgraded, you must manually change the XML URL being referenced the first time you use it to import a conventional data set. Please see the information on Don's software page at his site.

I am making this a sticky in the hopes that people will read this first before posting. Please don't post errors in this thread, start a new thread for each error.

how do i move the error message i get to this post site? thanks
Open a browser window, go to the forum and start a new thread, copy & paste the errors. From another window which on the system/county/agency you are trying to import, copy and paste the URL of the system/county/agency page. This will ease the problem of correcting the data.
