Potentially new user from Orange county

Hi Guys, from the time I was a little kid and my uncle showed me his scanner and we listened to air traffic radio comm I've been fascinated with it.

Seeing as how a lot of things in Central Florida are now digital and/or encrypted, what can I pickup with a cheap handheld like the Uniden BC75XLT?

The major limitation of this scanner is that it only goes up to 512 Mhz. This will limit you to such things as businesses, hotels, railroads and civilian aircraft, media, etc. You will really have to do searches and see what pops up based on your location and antenna.
