a MO individual decided to jump into the water from the Billy Goat Trail/Sandy Landing
The guy had flashlight/strobe so the eagle could see him through the fog. Apparently, the light went out(or turned off ?) and now Eagle 2 lost visual on the individual

UPDATE 22:32hrs: One of the airboats has rescued the individual and now in custody.

Eagle is on the Rockville A/B/C Dispatch channel, MCPD.

i hear nothing on 7C

Battalion Chief 2 and the Eagle 2 are talking on Rockville's Dispatch channel.

They are having some difficulty...it's a good monitor but wish they were having an easier time out there.

The difficulty is getting the patient/subject out of the area...too foggy for the helo to do a lift [lack of vertical reference,] too far from the water [so no boat extraction]...

wow, dispatch is still putting out calls over top of this op...surprised they aren't on an alternate talkgroup.

Well, ops are on 7C as well...but Eagle 2 doesn't seem to be on 7C. sounds like MCFRS is on 7C and the Park Helo is on District 1's dispatch channel. kinda confusing.

BC2 is on both.

Everything wrapped up after they rescued that guy out of the water....

I think this is a different call... I heard MontCo Fire had dispatched a call for a injured person from fall on the tow path less then 30mins ago.

Normally, Ill hear a call go out for the C&O every 3weeks. It has to be the Full Moon.... They just dispatched a injured person from a fall off of a bike, 4 Miles South of Whites Ferry off of Edwards Ferry Road.

Maybe I listen to my scanners to much, but I think the county EMS runs many calls in the summer time to the C&O Canal area. Along the Billy Goat trail, Tow path and so on.
