• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

Pottawatomie County P25 control frequency / monitoring

I've been using 852.6125 as the control frequency for providing the Pott Co Sheriff and EMS feed on broadcastify since April without issue (Broadcasting Site Info: St George / Flush Site Details (Kansas Statewide Interoperable Communication System (KSICS))). All of sudden within the last day or 2, I'm not picking anything up and I'm not sure if it is a hardware issue on my end or what. I'm running op25 with an RTL-SDR dongle on Linux. I even swapped out the RTL-SDR dongle with an unused one and still not picking anything up.

Anybody in the Pott County KS area that has a digital scanner or running op25 / sdrtrunk, etc that can verify if that control frequency is still valid or if know if they changed it? I would say it could just be a bad RTL-SDR dongle, but since its not working with an unused one, I don't know what else it could be.

Thanks!

Nevermind, it ended up just being an issue in the antenna connector of course..

Glad you resolved the issue as I was just about to comment that I have been hearing PT County loud & clear here in Topeka among my scanned frequencies.
