AF1 99.9% of the time uses VHF talking to Tower/Ground.

BUCKLEY GROUND: 121.6 , 275.8
BUCKLEY TOWER: 121.0 , 291.675
DENVER APPROACH: 128.45
DENVER DEPARTURE: 128.45

IF you can pick up this system.
Listen to Buckley Air Force Base Police securing the area, etc.
[Might be good idea to search for newer talkgroups]

Hey Mod Eric. Will Air Force one be checking into Denver Center when they get close? Or are military flights excluded from that? And What Freq will that be on?

Charles, AF-1 is always in contact with an ATC facility while in the National Airspace System (NAS). While ATC centers provide services on a first come, first served basis to all aircraft within its airspace, presidential aircraft receive operational priority. And for frequency info, I would stick them all in and listen... That's part of the fun of scanners!

All Police and Security forces TG's are 100% encrypted! We won't be able to hear a peep from them. :(

Those have been encrypted for years, even outside of a POTUS visit. I was surprised when I was trying to listen to the Crash Crews that THEY were encrypted too. The only one that isn't (or used to be) is the KBKF Tower Net and AFD patches.

If you don't have them, I have a compiled list in feed notes. Just click on my feed and in the discription is a list of heavily used MilAir UHF freqs to include ARTCC UHF.

And I'm getting a high pitch tone on 240.0 now that AF-1 is in the area.

Centennial has a unknown aircraft operating in the TFR area about 18 miles to the SE of the airport. They keep trying to reach the A/C on 118.9, but no joy. I hope the A/C doesn't get any formation flying time to log in their logbook.

No, its a slow moving A/C in the training area squaking 1200. IFR or VFR flight plan traffic isn't effected by the TFR.

Denver TO-1 and the Blue channel (can't remember which one) has been active for the motorcade.

Thanks for the reply Erik. It was T/O One & Blue SE with most of the traffic. It was odd that an Aurora PD car was blocking off the westbound I-70 ramp at Vasquez.
