Hearing what sounded like Charlotte PD with limited comms on patch to VIPER Delta 1, RID/UID 1206349

Tracking 09-0017 enroute south from ADW, typically one of the AF1 decoys/BUs, typically will land at other location nearby

You can be guaranteed everything will be encrypted.

No use to have a scanner when the president comes to town.

It will be even worse when the RNC hits Charlotte in August.

If all you want to do is hear the USSS voice, I agree with you, but finding freqs in use, NACs, RIDs is useful and part of the hobby for some. Additionally, I'm hearing local units giving some interesting reports on non-encrypted channels, which some find interesting. But, I understand your point, some just want to hear the voice traffic and aren't interested in the hunt for other aspects of the hobby or what local responders are saying.
