This will be the first visit for the POTUS since Dallas moved to the NTIRN system. Good chance to get some loggings of the active talkgroups, both secure and non secure. Might even find a new one or two. Pay special attention to the RIDs anything that doesn't begin with a 7 is likely from an outside agency, state or federal. For the aviation listeners, the Air Force 1 hand offs on ATC are very brief, if you are distracted for 10 seconds you could miss it. I expect the first handoff to be in the ZFW (Fort Worth ARTCC (ZFW) is an FAA enroute center) high altitude sectors to the NE depending on the route. Also DPD Air 1 will change their Callsign to "Huntsman" once the feds climb on board.

AF1 will be landing at Dallas Love Field Airport Signature Terminal 3 about 6:15 PM CT and departing about two hours later. The reason for the visit is to pay respects to the late Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson, so motorcade will be traveling from the airport to the wake service that will be held at Concord Church, 6808 Pastor Bailey Drive, from 6:30-8 p.m.

Concord Church is just west of Hwy 67, and a block or so north of Camp Wisdom Rd. Not far south of Dallas Executive Airport (formerly Redbird). That will be maybe four miles southwest of my residence. The presidential motorcade likely will take I-35E south, before taking the Hwy 67 split off of southbound I-35E.
Track the smaller Air Force 1, 09-0015, and SAM46 (AF1 Backup 09-0018) as it travels to SC and then Dallas Love Field

The motorcade, presuming that they follow I-35E to Hwy 67, will be within a few blocks from my location. I'll see if I can get anything new. Should be within range for even simplex handheld radio transmissions.

Just noticed something interesting on the TxDOT cameras site.
All the images on I-35E southbound to the Hwy 67 split, and Hwy 67 down to I-20 come up with image unavailable. Other cameras, on other freeways, as well as on I-35E south of the Hwy 67 split, are live. Apparently, the cameras along the planned motorcade route are disabled.

Yeah, that makes sense. I just happened to look this time since the motorcade would be a very short distance from me.

Did anyone manage to catch any comms on this trip?
I saw a few hits (using several scanners), but everything other than DPD Traffic Escort TGID was encrypted.
just sayinTG 31101 - SWAT MAIN and TG 32028 - DFR SPEC EVENTS 1 (with ENC) were very active as was 31154 TRAFFIC ESCORTS (clear). Could not "see" anything else possibly related other than Love Field traffic...
