HP-2: power on/off

i will be mounting my HP2 in my car, what i want it to due is power up / and down with the the cars ignition key, as do my GPS and sat radio, I have the wiring set up but dont know if the HP2 can do it

No. Only the scanners powered by a 3-pin 12V lead (such as the 536) will do that.
