i'm writing this from my local king county library cuz i'm still in the dark at home, which is cold and damp. i just keep telling myself that there are people in other countries, like iraq, whom have never had power or have very little of it and i'm trying not to wine and feel sorry for myself . . . but i'm fianlly going to vent now that i've been without power for a week. pse says my area should get power by sunday at the latest. i know they are working really hard and i'm thankful for everything they do, but i'm still going to complain still lol: i haven't seen any pse trucks in my neighborhood yet, so far i've only seen 2 tellephone POLE INSTALLING trucks in my neughborhood surveying the damage. i'll admit, it is more than likely that i just missed them and they've been to my neighborhood. but only yesterday, 6 days of power being out have they started removing the big downed trees from the road ways (us neighbors had to do the rest and so far only one raod around my area has reopened). there are still down power lines everywhere. people are cold. my family finally gave in and baught a generator. now it stays a warm 53 degrees in my house instead of 42 degrees. in my grandparents's house, it got down to 31 degrees the temperature read. this is really really bad. this storm caught everyone off guard and i'm not a pse-hater and i don't want underground lines and i don't want money. i just want to know the latest news and know that something is being done to help me and my friends and my family. but thank goodness for my scanner, without it i'd be really bord.
hope u are better off. merry christmas!
