I wonder if you could answer a question about which companies are confirmed using this system. I have heard very little usage in my area since starting to monitor it a couple of days ago. I've picked up a few transmissions on the Foley site, confirmed the Color Code, and one LCN but the traffic doesn't sound like anything local to Baldwin County. The traffic, however, has been crystal clear. Our local utility (Riviera) has their own radio system but I've never heard anything on it. In fact, I've never seen a mic in any of their vehicles.

Also, I couldn't find PowerSouth in Sentinel to download so I had to program it myself. I've only programmed Foley and Loxley (no traffic heard) since they are closest to me. I would be interested in loading the entire system if anyone can find it in Sentinel. For the Uniden users, program this system as a MotoTRBO Trunk.

Shep I can't answer your questions. This network has been around for years, just haven't paid much attention to it. Bravo14 is the
man to talk to about it. I was interested today because of the hurricane. I am in Houston county. Heard some traffic that sounded
like linemen and control activating lines they had fixed. Each site is neighbors to 5,6,7 other sites so that maybe the reason the info
didn't sound local. I use a usb radio and DSDPlus to listen. I looked at Sentinel and it has Powersouth listed under some counties.
Click USA, Alabama, then click on the county. It comes up with it looks like the same info for each county. This system is now DMR
Tier III, don't know how your scanner handles TIII. I probably can't hear Foley but I'll swing my antenna around that way and look.
Gonna go watch the weather channel for a while and see what SE Ala can expect. Later....

I see bearcats put it in as a DMR trunk system, gotcha.

I'm listening on a Uniden SDS200 and seems to handle the Tier 3 perfectly. Also, I looked in Sentinel at every county with a listed site and still could not find PowerSouth. Please let me know which county you found it in - beats having to program the entire thing manually.

I downloaded the latest database from uniden and when I looked for Power South they were gone.
Someone removed them from the database or they are in another place, don't know. You can download a
spreadsheet and cut and paste I guess. RR has the files needed for DSDPlus which I use, you might cut and
paste from them better, don't know. Looks like SE Ala may be spared from the worst winds, outer bands have
just started to get to Dothan. I am on Alabama Power, can't monitor them any more. Gonna go to NOAA's radar
and watch for tornadoes, goodnight. 8:43 CDT
