Hey Guys,

This may be a risky question, so please don't take me for someone trying to buy answers. I'm just curious how close to the real things these practice exams are? In Canada, the RAC has a free program called "ExHAMiner" which is built by a member, and uses up to date questions.
I have a few IT certificates, and I know there are "legit" practice exams, that are not the real questions. Than there are other exams with real questions, of course these are a bit more shady as you don't actually learn.

The practice exams on QRZ.COM Callsign Database contain the actual questions and correct answers that are found on the real tests. Just look for the practice exam button and have fun. There are hundreds of questions in the actual question pools, so you will have to take the tests many, many times before you see all of them. There are many other sites with practice ham tests, but QRZ.COM Callsign Database is easy to find and use....

I'm going for my no-code in a month or so and I've been using the QRZ.com practice tests and I think they're really good and it's my understanding that they are up to date. I feel confident that by using the practice exams I'll have no issue passing come time. I'd suggest them too

In the U.S., the entire question pool, with answers, is publicly available. The books and web sites that are based on the U.S. question pool are using the exact same questions from which actual tests are developed.

I do not know how things are done in Canada. Is the Canadian question pool publicly available? Is the program you refer to based on that question pool?

There are publicly available questions (I believe) from whatever agency handles the regulation of amateur radio. What I was not sure was if these were exact questions, or simply similar questions. In the IT industry, many companies run there own certifications, and sell practice exams. These exams are never exact, only similar to give you a rough idea.

It is looking like these are exact, and I have emailed the RAC trying to get a official answer. Thanks!
