If I had known about this sooner, I probably would have gone down there. It goes until 2 PM, so if anybody is still interested...

You’re invited! Rain or Shine - the event goes on!

Xcel Energy’s Prairie Island location is hosting a community Open House – all are welcome to attend. Learn about nuclear power and its benefits to the environment and our community. Adults and kids of all ages can tour the control room simulator, visit with plant employees, participate in giveaways and enjoy a free lunch. Activities will focus on entertaining and educating kids, and will include an appearance by the famed Reddy Kilowatt!

A free picnic lunch will be served. Pre-registration is not required.

Join us Saturday, May 20th to -
• Grab some free giveaways
• Fill up with hot dogs, chips, and pop - FREE
• Enjoy face painting, balloons and an inflatable bounce house
• See a Control Room simulator demo
• Get a selfie with Reddy Kilowatt
• Meet a live Falcon and her handlers
• Learn from our experts in the "Neighborhood Talk" sessions
