You need software for your radio, and the software needs to be RR.com compatable, and then from the software you can download the freqs

You can also access more "downloadable" files from the database, but the RR import feature of programming software is the real key feature.
Your software will ask for a login and password. Then you can navigate your state and the systems you want to import.

daveritchie, there are several differences. Look at the 'Your account' section on the far right on the very first page of this website. There should be an entry for the expiration of your premium subscription.

All of your messages now have a green globe with the dollar sign in it. That's the indication that you are now a premium subscriber.

Now to the applications that support the RR imports - you didn't say anything about what radio(s) you own, but the complete list of compatible apps can be found in the web service application support section of the following article

cool thanx .. i have a bcd-396t ... looks like all the radio freq, are old ones .... so the bct tool only updates with what we contribute ... not the current new channels????

It will import whatever is in the database that you choose. Are you saying the database info is out of date or what's programmed in to the scanner?
