Anyone have a list that are used during the President visit?

Most if not all frequencies used by the Fed's during a presidential visit are encrypted. There are some exceptions on occasion but I wonder if they're bogus to confuse or misdirect any one with ill intentions.

You want to monitor your local PD/LE frequencies that are typically used for special events or incidents. You haven't disclosed where you are so we can't help you. Check RR's database.

Can you give me a lower freq. and upper freq. to do setup a search?

The military air spectrum is way too big and transmissions are usually short. You could get lucky with a search but a better way would be to research some active frequencies in your area. Besides the internet. The Spectrum Monitor Magazine has great monthly columns on Military Air and Federal Communications.

Here is another resource to get you started Fed Files Blog Whoops I see nd5y already provided this site.

+1 on that. I listened to the F-16's from Toledo that were providing CAP (Combat Air Patrol) when the POTUS & VP visited here. Also listened to them hook up with the tanker to refuel.

Same here, this weekend I heard CAP Patrols escorting a civilian aircraft out of the TFR (Temporary Flight Restriction) Area as well as refuel operations.

Come back to this forum tomorrow. When I get home I post my "confirmed" ground and air federal and local Miami freqs that have worked for me before. POTUS is in Miami on Friday.

He will be in Odessa tomorrow and a visit Oil company in Midland.

He was in Morrisville/RDU yesterday and from near downtown Raleigh I got zero hits with two different scanners. I believe the USSS repeaters are localized for only the coverage area needed. A-A CAP freqs will most likely depend on what unit is providing the fighters/tankers.

Good luck and let us know if you catch any comms, clear or encrypted, and watch for the RID as well.

I remember when George H.W. Bush visited Midland, he stayed in the Hilton downtown. I was able to listen to the USSS which was fun.
