Here is a list of most of the frequencies that you can listen too when the Pres. is here. The Secrect Service freq. may be encrypted though, and MPD or the SO may use some of their encrypted talkgroups.

Thats the NORAD freq used quite a bit by the fighters flying the CAP.

I can't speak for all the freqs just listed. Nice pile though. Although you need to change the ANG/Command Post freqs to 341.75 and 138.95 These have been updated and confirmed.

Anyone hear much?

I caught one or two transmits from AF One when they landed. Heard a few guys checking a channel and wondering if 296.7 mhz was working. Other than that, there was NOTHING to listen to except the MPD and SCO traffic guys which were enjoyable, but nothing "presidential".

Anyone hear anything substantial from the presidential security force? I used all the channels on the post above, but it was virtually silent.

Thanks for posting the file. I downloaded and saved for the next presidential visit.

I recorded all day and went back through it and nothing. I heard the ATC talking a bit, but that was it.

I was at work, so I only got to listen for a few minutes at a time. Usually, as tspain said, it was dead air. I did happen to pick up a few things.

Civil Air Patrol (CAP) frequency was fairly active. As soon as AF1 landed, I listened to the 2 escort fighters. One remained on perimeter patrol while the other flew out to an in-air refueling. Then they swapped. Pretty cool!

I also heard a little bit on one of the MPD channels (TaskForce 1, I think it was). They were setting up the secure area at Graceland and moving the visitors back preparing for the motorcade arrival.

The presidential "Alpha Comms" channel had some activity, but all I could hear were electronic noises (beeps, boops, screeches, etc.) I'm guessing that one's probably encrypted.

All in all I was a little disappointed myself.

The mil-air stuff was way cool. Did you see them up there? Lotsa contrails turning above Memphis on AF1 arrival and departure. I thought it was kinda funny, Memphis tower got POTUS in and out quickly as expected but Japan's PM did some waiting for afternoon push to leave airport. Sounded like pilots english on JAF 1's was a little rusty-may have been too many peanut butter and nanna sandwiches.....

This is no biggie but as for the CAP with the fighters. It's not quite the Civil Air Patrol. In this case CAP stands for Combat Air Patrol.
