Get your scanners ready. There should be some good listening with the President’s visit for ASU’s graduation ceremony. The president is scheduled to speak on Wednesday at 7:00pm at Sun Devil stadium.

I was a bit disappointed last time he was out. Besides DPS handling the motorcade, there really wasn't much to listen to because everything else was encrypted. I guess when it comes to the POTUS encryption is a must, but it does kinda suck for us scannerheads.

KTVK had lots of live coverage online last time out. I expect they'll do the same with this visit.

you might be surprised this time. ASU PD and PRWS should have some good stuff this time around.

I still wouldn't be surprised if ASU PD/Tempe PD use an encrypted channel. What is PRWS? It's still kind of neat to listen to air force 1 call traffic control.

I'm sure it will. Unfortunately my 796D won't even tune the Tempe Site on the RWC let alone decrypt encryption.

Kinda sucks too, me hosting the Tempe feed and all without a TEMPE CAPABLE Scanner. And do you think UPMan will let me beta the 996XT? Pfft. I gotta a better chance scoring a home run with Jessica Alba. Mmmmmmm... Jessica...

Sorry. Ahem.

Now, if anyone has about $500 bucks I can borrow, I can remedy this little problem.... ;)

Seriously the funniest thing I have read in a LONG time. Thanks for the laugh! All I can say is that I heard through the grapevine that SS and security ops were surprisingly being done on non encrypted channels. Wish I was in the valley today...

That's what I figured, just never heard PRWS.

I'll be listening in on the 106 and if anything good is on their I'll see if I can get a feed up.

Well I'm hearing some traffic on ASU PD, I think it's TG8101 can't remember right now. They were just BSing with each other but occasionally dispatcher would have them go and check on suspicious activity or possible security breaches around the stadium.

2844 seems to be perimeter security. There has been a lot more activity on talkgroup 2847 on Simulcast A and C all morning as well. There has been a lot of discussion about stadium searches and Secret Service coordination this morning.

ASU Event 1 talkgroup 8004 on the Tempe ASU system is active and patched with DPS 460.225.

Overnight I also heard ASU providing stadium security on talkgroup 8010 on the Tempe ASU system, but this has been quiet this morning.
