Primary/Alternate CC's

I use Treport and Trunker on two SmartZone VHF systems, 4e2a (older) and
822f . Treport always reports the Alternate Control Channel in the box, and
in the log (listing site numbers and CC frequencies) for the newer system. This
doesn't happen with the older system; the box is blank, and the log lists the
Primary CC for the site monitored.

If licence record shows (say) 4 channels but only three are "normally" used
(Primary CC and two voice channels in rotation), is it safe to assume that the
alternate CC is the fourth; that it will get used as a voice channel when the other
two are busy?

That's exactly how it works on our Smartzone system.
