Is anyone having trouble receiving the police frequencies. Quiet as all get out. Any suggestions?

Prince William has rebanded. Make sure you have the correct frequencies, which are 15 MHz lower than they were previously. Also check to make sure that you have all the control channels in the scanner.

If your scanner doesn't support rebanding, than you're out of luck, unfortunately.

I'm having a heck of a time programming the PWC system into a new BCD996XT. I'm using FreeScan to upload the system to the scanner, no problem there. I'm used to programming my PRO96 so I'm learning how the process works on this scanner.

I have the control channels entered and have tried the system as a Type II/P25 and also a P25 One Freq Trunk with no avail. I have the systems set to ID Search, but I get nothing.

Can anyone upload or email me their setup for PWC so that I might be able to figure out what the heck I'm missing? And yes, I have checked, I have the 01.06.00 firmware installed on the scanner.

Thanks

Bob

Did you set the Site Type to Mot Custom/Rebanded Type II and enter the proper band plan?

Nope. Didn't know that there was a band plan. I didn't see any notes about it in the database listing. I was under the impression that all I had to do was enter the control channels.

If you have not done so already, reprogram using Freescan but under the Simulcast tab, select in the site type box MOTCustom/Reband II. That will show and program the new band plan when you upload to your 996XT. We had the similar issue with Fauquier County a while back

Thanks for all the help, but I went ahead and became a paid member so that I can import the systems directly from the RR.

yank108, I was saying that I have a PRO96 that I used to program. My problem was trying to program a new BCD996XT.

Thanks again, all.

Having problems bcd996t in PWC

I am having problems with my 996T receiving PWC. It appears I have the new updated firmware (3.02.00). I programed PWC with ARC996PRO. But I am not hearing PWC. I am getting Fairfax Co. I need help, please.

Thank you,
Tacker

PS Also does anyone have the freq for Bull Run National Park?

tackerv -- In the PRO996T software:

1. On the main PW page, ensure you selected under System Type "Motorola Type II / P25".

2. On the SITE page (you would have had to create a "site" to enter the trunk frequencies) ensure you select under Site System Type "Motorola Type II 800 MHz Custom" from thr drop down menu. This action creates a new button at the bottom of the window called "Edit Custom Band Plan".

3. Click that button and a new window will open. At the bottom of that window, click "Rebanded".

Hit OK and save everything, upload it, and it should work

Regards.
