It is kind of sad tho that "manuals" used to come with all scanners , most likely figured into the scanner price but the scanner is still the same price w/o the manual=sign of the times....I do think that "marksscanners manuals are the greatest thing to come along.....

I bought one and am learning all sorts of stuff I didn't know about my XT radios. I'm still having some problems searching for Tone Outs page 79 but will keep trying at test time.

How to go out of business, ship and sell a product without a quality manual on how to use it. Hell, if I can't read it in the bathroom then it doesn't exist! Okay, my son doesn't think that way but...his scanner is a predator drone. Wonder where he got his interest from.

Now that I've had the manual for a few weeks I really enjoy how thorough it is.

It's too bad the the first item you order from Scanner Master costs so much in shipping. When I ordered the book I got two other items and the shipping was not much more than for just the book.

Ummm not for nothing but, the book should have come with the unit. Uniden should let me, at the very least download this book for free.

I agree Uniden should have included an updated manual like with the 996T instead of the Wiki CD and download which is poor.

ScannerMaster who developed this manual shouldn't have to distribute it for free to anybody to cover Uniden's mistake. If Uniden choses to buy the book for XT scanner owners that's a diffrent issue.

My understanding was that the manuals Scannermaster is offering are the same ones from Mark's Scanners - only printed and bound.
