There is an uprising in a Baltimore prison at the moment. Complete lockdown, calling for medical help, moving some prisoners to the courtyard. Not sure which prison this is but it has a north and a south wing. Frequency involved is 158.925. They are referring to "Code" situations, e.g., Code 4, Code 5, which I don't have a clue what they mean. I only have one scanner at this location so can't check other units such as Baltimore PD, EMS units or MSP.
[Edit] They have mentioned keeping the juveniles in the "school trailer" locked down until further notice. This should be a clue as to which prison this is.
This whole episode is taking place in "J" Section.
Just notified guards/officers on scene that there are additional police in the intake units in the north and south wings that can be called to help.
They are using Codes and 10-codes that I'm not familiar with so those are no help. Even their phonetic alphabet is unique. J is for Jack, K is for Kite - referring to sections of the prison wing. K Section is now cleared, evacuating to the gym.
I just submitted this freq, callsign, and PL tone to the database last week. The callsign is assigned to the state Corrections Department. The "Baltimore" aspect comes from an old freq list from years ago. This certainly sounds like a juvie detention center.
Final Edit: The whole episode lasted from about 11:45 until about 12:30 when things seemed to be back under control.
