Pro 106 and 450-470 freq

I want to know what is the best antenna I can get for my 106 that will pull in the P25 signals on 450-470 range, specifically 460.225? I already have Radio Shack Discone , I gave about $75.00 for, and its not worth the plastic it came in. I will be able to spend up to about 150.00, so please give me your input. I live about 12 miles out of town, and pick up the 150-160's perfect just the 450-460 P25 that I have problem with. THANKS!

Better Antennas

I agree I also have a RS Disconne not worth the plastic, so I bought a DPD LP-118-1000. DPD Productions - Antennas & Accessories for the RF Professional & Radio Hobbyist You can probably find a better antenna there. Read the reviews and ask Dave at DPD for info. He's very good at Customer Service and quick to answer your questions.

The GRE/RS 800MHz rubber duck antenna I use let's me pick up a 400MHz signal from a long way out. I don't know if there would be a significant difference, with the difference in frequency.
