Pro 106 Cable

Does the 106 have to be programmed with a USB cable or can it be programmed with the serial port cable that I have been using with PRO 96.

You need the USB version. The old USB version with the adaptor will work as well.

I have used both the USB cable and the serial cable to program PSR-500's. I would expect either one to work with the PRO-106 as well.

Can you collect data with that cable? For example run ID Tracker II. Or just up and down load v-folders?

I have an Icom opc478 cable and a belkin usb adapter and cannot get them to work with the 106...nor can I get it to work with it on a regular serial port without the adapter...all settings are correct..worked with a pro97, a gsr300 and a pro164...before I go out and buy the 20-047 what am I missing?.....thanks!

All good news...got the 20-047 cable and it works...also the RS gave me 10% off ..better than nothing...obvious question is why do all these radio manufacturers have different cables and different drivers etc?..I guess we will never know..a big conspiracy
