Pro-106 DUST under screen cover?

Has anyone noticed very small. Dust particles that seem to be trapped under the plastic screen cover between the cover and the LCD display? I only noticed it while in a dark room with a booklight pointing at the screen on an angle without the LCD being g iluminated, very tiny particles but they do show up under a white light? Could it be an il fitting cover? All appears tight and though I have not tried I do not think the cover is removable?

Just a suggestion!

When I lifted the back cover to do the headphone jack audio mod, I saw that it was fairly easy to lift the pc boards. If you are careful, you can lift the first of 2 boards and use a small amount of compressed air with that little straw that it comes with. That should do it. It isnt hard to do either.

I noticed the same thing. It has also been reported elsewhere on this site by other Pro-106 owners. Like you, I only notice the small dust particles under certain lighting conditions. It's not enough to really bother me, given that I picked the unit up for only $279 during the F&F sale. But, if someone comes up with a safe way to get the dust particles out of there, I might give it a try. GRE should have had better QA for this type of thing.

Yah, I hear ya about it being not that big a deal, I also got the 106 on sale but its still sad when a $500 piece of equipment has "dust particles" under the screen? You cant even see them unless hit just right by certain light so I guess I'm being a bit anal but I do try to take good care of my electonics so it bothers me a little.... It does make me feel a bit better knowing others hav reported same, I feel bad for them havng it happen but better knowing not just my 106 because I was thinking I had a problem somwhere?..As long as it doesnt get worse Im ok with it.
