I am utilizing my favorites scan list quite often. It comes in very handy when you want to know what is going on, "right here, right now." It is also very easy to add or delete frequencies from this list.
My PRO-106 gets my vote for, the best scanner ever.

I actually have three "favorites" lists--- the standard FAV list--- but I also use the Skywarn bank to program in more "concentrated" favorites. And I use the "TUNE" (single-frequency) function for one-button access to my most critical frequency for instant access.

That's the way to do it. I may steal your idea.

You can use the "NS" no scan list for single freqy or talkgroup listening also....When you program a freqy or talkgroup with "NO" (*) thats where it goes....

I too find the Favorites list quite handy. I have it programmed with PD, Fire and EMS for my immediate area, as well as local utilities and roads crews. I used the Skywarn list for all my MilAir stuff since I don't have a dedicated air comms scanlist setup out of the regular 20. I've also tried to organize my object ID's so a lot of the ones I listen to frequently have easy to remember numbers. For example for the Ontario Provincial Police I have OPS1 thru 12 programmed as objects 1 thru 12. My local PD is object 100, fire is 200 etc etc. If I quickly want to listen in on OPS09 it's as simple as Man-009-ENT.
