While telling someone how much I care for her, I heard myself saying, "I would take a bullet for you." That being said, I started to think about my beloved 106; Would I take that same hypothetical bullet for this great scanner?-------Would you?

As long as I can get $1 million from suing whoever shot me.

Or its on sale again for $299 with unlimited quantities.

Slight disagreement

Sorry guys.....wives are replaceable....just ask my ex-wife. Don't have any kids and don't want any either.....so I cannot comment. My pro-106.....I may not take a direct hit, but I would take a glancing blow.....maybe a flesh wound.......haha.

Even if it's in jest,I would definetly say no,completely replaceable unlike us human folk. Given a choice between dropping my family or a handheld scanner(or any object for that matter),I'd chose to drop a scanner every time.

I don't have a 106 yet(c'mon another $299 sale), but I feel the same way about my PSR-500, the 106's older brother.

I love love LOVE that scanner, up to taking a bullet it for it(I'd glady sacrifice it as some expedient body armor). It's going to really, really suck bad the day I lose it, for whatever reason; and I accept that that day will come. If you don't value possessions, they can't possess you.
