I actually had about ninety minutes to play with my 106 this evening. It was already dark, and I had both the display, and the keyboard lit. For a change, I decided to use the TUNE mode. I enabled the, TuneLED.
I started out from the extreme high end of the frequency limit. My thought was to work my way down. In seconds, the 106 was hung up on many different types of signals. I Paused the 106 on one very strong signal. The strength of this signal was very erratic, ranging from almost nothing to maximum strength. I shut off the keyboard and display lights. This made for an interesting fireworks display on the (multicolor) LED. Due to the extreme variations in signal strength, there was a wide variety of color blending/mixing which was really cool. Try it with your 106.
