I can't figure out how to edit my current search limits. The 'easy to read manual' states to press F1 (lmts), but the option is FRL/O.

I tried PRGM > EDIT > SEARCH, but get message that no search ranges programmed.

The current search range has NOT been saved as an object. Must I do so in order to get to the LMTS option? I also looked at Global options. No go.

What is the key? Thanks.

The scanner has to be actively searching for Lmts to show up. I can not be paused on a specific channel, try taking the antenna off if it keeps stopping on a bunch of frequencies.

O.K., I finally got it. I wasn't scanning through the frequencies, but pushing the ^ key brings up the Limits menu.

Thanks.

Be advised, if the scanner stops on a BLANK freq, ( I use a 10 second delay ) push pause. Hold for 10 seconds. If there is a split second signal- burst- it is most likely a standard LTR system. If you are doing 150.000--162.000, you may encounter WEIRD sounds. Pust the ATT attenuator button, which will reduce noises. Same with 25.000---150.000.. Searching the 800's--thats a real noise filled area with NEXTEL and other cell phone entities. Depending on how high the antenna is, and how close you are to a tower. Where I am, I am surrounded by towers. Remember; if you find someone talking, and no PL,DCS-tune it. It will tell you what type of system-find control channel, YOURE IN..Best of luck.
