I'm not hearing some responses, or other chat on my 106.. I have fiddled with the sq wait 1-- 08 , and sq wait 2--85, rf fade-- 02, and the dg int prime-- 30... Still touch and go.. I get aggie, and waterboro trunk signals fine..
What am I missing?
thanks

You're really not telling us much here. If you're just using the duckie, you might need to stick to those sites in York County. How did you program? Are you using an outdoor antenna? If so, which? Mounted high and away from surrounding objects? Coax?

Responses on what site or system?

Be ready to dump your programming so others can see what you did.

Just too many questions to answer, even if I were local....Mike

What are Aggie and Waterboro? They don't match the sites listed in the database. What is your city? What programming software are you using?

Dual band roof antenna
All programming for tsys was done by tuning the cc, and storing it.
Then, I edit it by entering the rest of the freqs..
I have been thru marks scanner page with no luck.
the problem is - I hear the dispatcher, and the trooper replies within 5 mili seconds.. I don't hear him, unless the trooper goes at least 1 second before responding....
I have tried modifying the settings with worse luck..
it's the same way with the pro 196..
rooftop antennas, and great cc reception..

Aggie is Mount Agamenticus, and Waterboro is Ossipee mountain. The site name should have the location field entered but doesn't.

The first thing I would do is return all of the expert settings to their default values and address your problems through the programming of the system or systems. Which systems and agencies do you want to monitor? It is far faster and easier if you use programming software. You have 3 choices for the Pro-106: ARC500, Win500, and PSREdit500. I prefer Butel ARC500. ARC500 Basic is all you need to program your scanner. All three have a free trial period for you to decide which one you like best.

On which site are you experiencing this? I’ve noticed a similar problem with this system and others, where scanners will hang onto the voice channel of one transmission, while missing the reply if it shifts to a different voice channel. I’ve never found a solution. It almost seems to be an issue on the systems side, as I’ve noticed the issue come and go somewhat. A few years ago I was having what seems like a similar issue monitoring the Cook Hill site.

Do you have the programming cable for the Pro-106? If your download and install Butel ARC500 software for the free trial period, you will be able to download your programming from the scanner and save it as an ARC500 file for me to check your programming for any problems (Under the Scanner tab, Download from Scanner). To be able to attach your file, right click on the file and Send to Compressed (zipped) folder. Click on Attach files and Open the zipped folder.

I receive the system well in Wells area using a PRO 106 and Uniden 996, 436. Using VHF gain type antennas on all radios, it does give a good boost to the signal over the stock antennas. Primary active sites for this area are Aggy and Ossipee, dont really hear Hosac unless I drive north or York DOT unless I drive south.
