Note: Works most of the time, the radio ID is only transmitted at the start of the transmission and some systems do not transmit this information where the scanner can decode it.

yes, i got that far. what i want to know is, is there a way to program them in the radio? I have a whole list of the radio ID identifiers can i program them up so it will come up as a certain police car or whatever??

Yes. You can program them in same as all other objects - just change the type from "group" to "private". I have a separate scanlist for all my radio Ids. Note that the names of saved RIDs only show up in in "scan" mode, it will still be numbers if you park it on an object.

Yes you can. Enter them as Private objects. Note that the radio get's the radio ID from the control channel data stream before switching to the voice channel. Depending on when it joins the call, that information may or may not be available. Also note that once on the voice channel, the radio will not decode the radio ID, so you'll only see the first ID if available.
