A good p25 scanner is usually $400.00 plus.. To find 1 less than $350.00 and unused is rare.. When I got my 1st pro 106, it was $400.00 from the shack..2nd was E-BAY, $350.00. Has a stiff squelch knob.. Thats fine, wont turn accidently.. My 3rd 106---aka 197 was done out of anger.. $499.00. I was mad at myself for not having a desktop scanner.. I paid for it-- broke me for 2 weeks.. But, once again--unused. I use the 197 as the programmer.. CLONING between the 3 is fast and easy.. I do wonder how much a scanner costs to assemble before it hits the stores. I'm guessing $200.00....$0.50 for the box to be made...It's all about the $$$$. Make for $200.00 and sell for 399.99.... A 100% mark up... Remember---condition is everything.. DO NOT DROP!! I did, PAID for it..

I would not call this a "sale"....go on e-bay for a sale...

I would agree with this statement. If you really must get a new scanner, it would probably be a better idea to hold and wait for GRE to finalize whether or not they have kicked the can or not. If they do return, one would hope that prices would begin to drop back to "normal" levels again.
