PRO 106 Scanner set -up/HELP

I have uploaded the MECA list for Marion County, IN using the WIN 500 Software version 1.92. I am picking up a lot of channels but a lot of them come in not clear, broken and unreadable. I am trying to figure out why? I am a beginner in this new type of Scanner age so Is there anyone that I can call and talk to over the phone or anywhere to go to get help in person in the Indianapolis area besides Radio Shack, because they were not very helpful , to get help with my PRO 106 Scanner?

Users of the GRE PSR-500/600 scanners should use the following settings:
Multisite = OFF
NFM = OFF
Supertrack = ON
Additionally, using the ATTN setting = ON may assist in reception.

NAC = 261

I tried all that and reception seems the same to me. with a lot still coming in broken. I think I need hands on help with someone who has a PRO 106 Scanner in the Indianapolis area. Do you know anyone?
