Pro-107 Manual editing

I have a 107 that I need to tweak. I have these questions

1) Can I delete all objects in a playlist ( fat fingered the wrong systems into a playlist) from the radio. I don't have a sd card reader on any of my computers, so the Iscan software is of no help.

2) Is there a global option to turn on the backlight with reception. I can't seem to get it (backlight) to do anything but on or off always. The MENU/Settings/ choices are on/off/stealth/normal. The manual doesn't define what the differences are. The individual objects also have light settings. Unfortunetly, several of the playlists have hundreds of objects, a pain to tweak each object manually. How exactly do the two sets of settings affect the backlight operation?

Is there a way ti reset/clear the scanner manually (all playlists)? No mention of this in the manual that I can find

I have no card readers on my PC either, I purchased this and it plugs into the USB port. I do not know how to manually clear the PRO 107, I have deleted entire play lists on mine with the software.

There are many SD card readers that plug into the USB port on computers that can be purchased for less than $20

Go to" Easier to Read Pro-106/197/PSR500/600 Digital Scanner Manual mode ". Go to global settings, and that will explain the different functions.
I'm new at this, but I couldn't find any way to have the light come on when it hits on an object. You can set it to come on by hitting any key, but that's about the best I could figure.
Hope that helps a little.
I'm trying to figure out how to delete all objects at once now. I'll let you know.
I'm doing all mine by hand also.
The manual sure leaves a lot out for a beginner?
