Hi,

The new firmware and software updates are really fantastic and seems to clear up most of the previous glitches. One question: has anyone had any issues pertaining to programming multiple sites for an EDACS trunking system?

It seems that no matter what I attempt, I cannot program a separate playlist for the same talkgroups, using a different site (frequencies). The software always uses the same playlist, but uses the multiple mountain sites on the same group (showing 2 or more sites, depending on how many I program).

Other than that, this is really a GREAT radio. It works well, receives well, and is a fun radio to use. The audio is also plenty loud enough for my environment.

Thanks,

Did you ever get this to work correctly?

Sounds interesting, but maybe give me some more details so I can program a similar setup into my Pro-107.

Pro-107 software

Hi,

I have two separate sites/groups set up for Washoe County. One site listed in the RR database is listed as Washoe County and I use this "simulcast" primary site for Reno. The other is RR database site for the Verdi area. I am able to use two separate playlists for each site which is what I wanted.

The problem: I attempt to add separate sites for the Washoe system, in this case one for S. Lake Tahoe and another separate site for Truckee using two additional playlists. No matter how I attempt to add this information, the software will always add the two additional sites into the playlist where I have the primary simulcast system for Metro Reno.

I would like to have separate playlists for each site and then activate or deactivate them as I travel.

Maybe I am doing something wrong. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

This problem could be solved by duplicating your System into 2 separate systems:

For example,

System 1 - .Includes All Talkgroups in System 2, but different sites are enabled/disabled.
System 2 - Includes All Talkgoups in System 1, but different sites are enabled/disabled.

Assign Scan List a to System 1
Assign Scan List b to System 2

Sounds easy to do but unfortunately, I cannot find a way to duplicate a Trunked Radio System with the iScan software. You would have to manually create System 2 by choosing New System, then enter all Alpha Tags, Site Names, Site Frequencies, Talkgroup IDs and Alpha Tags, etc. Some importing of text files is possible. Using the clipboard, you could manually copy each field from System 1 and paste it into System 2 which would take some time to do.

Hopefully, this will solve it for you.

Pro-107 follow-up

Hi,

Actually, doing it the way you suggest would likely work fine. I just have to set aside some time and see what I can do.

Thanks for the suggestion and when I try it, I'll let you know.
