Well it looks like Radio shack has stoppedselling the 107 scanner. If you go to the web site they only have the refurbished models. Looks like there won't be anymore update for this radio, so if there is a problem will we be able to get updates from GRE?

If you are talking about firmware updates, the GRE updates traditionally aren't usable in the Radio Shack branded scanners.

If there is a new firmware update released for that RS scanner, it might show up in one of these locations:
